The 2013 Charlie Poole Music Festival will be held at Governor Morehead Park, 422 Church St., Eden, NC. Governor Morehead Park
is located on the site of the first textile mill in the region, built in 1839 by John Motley
Morehead. The park is owned and operated by the Eden Preservation Society.

CAMPING

Camping accommodations will be provided on the grounds of the historic Spray Cotton Mills, where Charlie Poole was employed as a textile worker when not out rambling and playing music. This picturesque site, alongside the Barnett canal and just above the scenic Smith River, is immediately across the street from Governor Morehead Park where the festival will be held. Tent camping will be on the beautiful lawn shown in the photo, and RV parking and vehicle parking is available in an adjacent private paved lot. Portable restrooms will be provided and water is available, but there are no hookups.
Camping can begin as early as Thursday, June 13th, at 12 noon. Please call the following number when you arrive, or for more information – 336-601-7129. All camping is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The address for Spray Cotton Mills is 413 Church St., Eden, NC. Camping is free for those attending the festival.
